The Thompson and York families would continue to live in Scawton for another 200 years, the Sturdys and Weetmans who had already been there for 150 years would complete another half century and the Taylor family tenancies would last a further 100 years. Thomas Bradley’s tenancy of Stocking House Farm had just started in 1750 and was to continue until he died in 1801 at the age of 82.
Mr Skelton who was a tenant in 1750 is thought to have been Edward Skelton the son of John Skelton, the tenant in 1694, 1719 and 1732
